अब्रवीदितरां कन्यामावहेति स कौरव: । अप्यन्याननुपप्रच्छ शड्कमान: पितुर्वच:
abravīd itarāṁ kanyām āvaheti sa kauravaḥ | apy anyān anupapraccha śaṅkamānaḥ pitur vacaḥ ||
ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ସେ କୌରବ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ କହିଲେ, “ଅନ୍ୟ କନ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ସହ ବିବାହ କର।” କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତୃବଚନର ଯଥାର୍ଥତା ନେଇ ସନ୍ଦେହ ଥିବାରୁ ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପଚାରିଲି।
