न कुट्यां नोदके सड़्ो न वाससि न चासने । न त्रिदण्डे न शयने नाग्नौ न शरणालये

Transliteration

na kuṭyāṃ nodake saṅgo na vāsasi na cāsane | na tridaṇḍe na śayane nāgnau na śaraṇālaye ||

Translation

ମହାଦେବ କହିଲେ—ମୋକ୍ଷକାମୀ ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କର କୁଟିର, ଜଳ, ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଆସନରେ ଆସକ୍ତି ହେବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ; ନ ତ୍ରିଦଣ୍ଡରେ, ନ ଶୟ୍ୟାରେ, ନ ପବିତ୍ର ଅଗ୍ନିରେ, ନ କୌଣସି ଆଶ୍ରୟସ୍ଥାନରେ ମଧ୍ୟ। ମୋକ୍ଷସାଧକ ତପସ୍ୟାଜୀବନର ବାହ୍ୟ ଆଧାରମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମମତା ଓ ନିର୍ଭରତାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।
