सर्वभूतदया धर्मो न चैकग्रामवासिता । आशापाशविमोक्षश्न शस्यते मोक्षकाड्क्षिणाम्‌

Transliteration

sarvabhūtadayā dharmo na caikagrāmavāsitā | āśāpāśavimokṣaś ca śasyate mokṣakāṅkṣiṇām ||

Translation

ମହେଶ୍ୱର କହିଲେ—ମୋକ୍ଷକାମୀଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା ହିଁ ଧର୍ମ। ସେମାନେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାଁ କିମ୍ବା ଗୋଟିଏ ନିବାସରେ ବନ୍ଧି ରହିବା ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ; ଏବଂ ଆଶା ଓ ତୃଷ୍ଣାର ପାଶ କାଟିବାକୁ ପ୍ରୟାସ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ମୁମୁକ୍ଷୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଆଚରଣ ହିଁ ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ।
