यथा नागपदे<न्यानि पदानि पदगामिनाम्‌ | सर्वाण्येवापिधीयन्ते पदजातानि कौज्जरे

Transliteration

yathā nāgapade 'nyāni padāni padagāminām | sarvāṇy evāpidhīyante padajātāni kauñjare ||

Translation

ଭୀଷ୍ମ କହିଲେ—ଯେପରି ହାତୀର ପଦଚିହ୍ନରେ ପାଦରେ ଚାଲୁଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ପଦଚିହ୍ନ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଢାକିଯାଏ, ସେପରି ଏଠାରେ ଉପଦେଶିତ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ସବୁ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ସମାହିତ ହୁଏ।
