ब्रह्मनारायणस्तवः — शिवस्य प्रभवत्व-प्रतिपादनम्
पूषदन्तविनाशाय भगनेत्रान्तकाय च कामदाय वरिष्ठाय कामाङ्गदहनाय च

Suta Goswami (narrating a Shiva-stuti within the Daksha-yajna episode)
It praises Shiva as the Pati who breaks pride-based ritualism (as in Daksha’s yajna) and purifies desire; in Linga worship this supports surrender, inner restraint, and offering the ego into the Linga as the fire of consciousness.
Shiva-tattva is shown as both punitive and liberating: He destroys distortions (ego, lust, arrogance) that bind the paśu, while also granting boons—kāma that is aligned with dharma and leads toward freedom from pāśa.
The implied practice is Pāśupata-style mastery over kāma: sense-restraint, mantra-japa and inner offering (āhuti) of desire into Shiva’s awareness, rather than performing yajna for status or rivalry.
