मेदस्वता यजमानाः स्रुचाज्यानि जुह्वतः । अकामा विश्वे वो देवाः शिक्षन्तो नोप शेकिम

IAST Transliteration

médasvatā yajámānāḥ srúcā́jyā́ni juhvátáḥ | akāmā́ víśve vo devā́ḥ śíkṣanto nópa śekím

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Though rich in unction, we sacrificers, pouring ghee with the ladle, have not, O all ye Gods, duly served you—whether without right intent; therefore, correcting us, do ye release (the fault’s bond).

Translation

ଘୃତରେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ଆମେ ଯଜମାନମାନେ ସ୍ରୁଚା (କରଚି) ଦ୍ୱାରା ଘୃତ ଆହୁତି ଦେଉଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ, ହେ ସର୍ବ ଦେବମାନେ, ଆମେ ତୁମମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯଥାବିଧି ସେବା କରିନାହିଁ—ଇଚ୍ଛା ବିନା କିମ୍ବା ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ; ତେଣୁ ଆମକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ସୁଧାରି, ଦୋଷର ବନ୍ଧନରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କର।
