अभि श्यावं न कृशनेभिरश्वं नक्षत्रेभिः पितरो द्यामपिंशन्। रात्र्यां तमो अदधुर्ज्योतिरहन् बृहस्पतिर्भिनदद्रिं विदद् गाः

IAST Transliteration

abhí śyāváṃ ná kṛ́śanebhir áśvaṃ nákṣatrebhíḥ pitáro dyā́m apiṃśan | rā́tryāṃ támo ádadhuḥ jyótiḥ áhan bṛ́haspátir bhínad ádriṃ vídad gā́ḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

As one decks a dark horse with glittering trappings, so with the stars the Fathers painted the sky. In night they set the darkness, and in day the light: Bṛhaspati clave the rock and found the cows.

Translation

ଯେପରି ଶ୍ୟାମ ଅଶ୍ୱକୁ ଚମକୁଥିବା ଶୃଙ୍ଗାରରେ ସଜାଯାଏ, ସେପରି ପିତୃମାନେ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦ୍ୟୌ (ଆକାଶ)କୁ ରଙ୍ଗିଲେ। ରାତିରେ ସେମାନେ ତମସ୍ (ଅନ୍ଧକାର) ସ୍ଥାପିଲେ, ଦିନରେ ଜ୍ୟୋତି (ଆଲୋକ). ବୃହସ୍ପତି ଅଦ୍ରି (ଶିଳା/ପର୍ବତ)କୁ ଭେଦି ଗୋମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜି ପାଇଲେ।
