अग्न आ याह्यग्निभिर्होतारं त्वा वृणीमहे । आ त्वामनक्तु प्रयता हविष्मती यजिष्ठं बर्हिरासदे

IAST Transliteration

ágn(a) ā́ yāhy agníbhir hótāraṃ tvā vṛṇīmahe | ā́ tvām anaktu práyatā havíṣmatī yájiṣṭhaṃ bárhir āsáde ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

O Agni, come hither with the fires; thee as Hotṛ we choose. Let the duly-prepared, oblation-bearing (offering) anoint thee—most meet for sacrifice—to sit upon the sacred grass.

Translation

ହେ ଅଗ୍ନି, ଅଗ୍ନିମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ଏଠାକୁ ଆସ; ଆମେ ତୁମକୁ ହୋତୃ (Hotṛ) ଭାବେ ବରୁଛୁ। ଯଥାବିଧି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ, ହବିଷ୍ମତୀ ଅର୍ପଣ ତୁମକୁ ଅଭିଷେକ/ଅନୁଲେପ କରୁ—ଯଜ୍ଞ ପାଇଁ ସର୍ବାଧିକ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ତୁମକୁ—ପବିତ୍ର ବର୍ହିସ୍ (barhis) ଉପରେ ଆସନଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବାକୁ।
