Sukta 26
हिरण्यधारणम्। अग्नेः प्रजातं परि यद्धिरण्यममृतं दध्रे अधि मर्त्येषु । य एनद् वेद स इदेनमर्हति जरामृत्युर्भवति यो बिभर्ति
agnéḥ prájātaṃ pári yád híraṇyam amṛ́taṃ dadhre ádhi mártyeṣu | yá enád véda sá íd enam arhati jarā́mṛtyur bhavati yó bibhárti ||
This gold, born of Agni, which, deathless, is set as a circlet upon mortals—he who knoweth it, he verily is meet for it; old age and death become (as it were) his portion to be put away, who beareth it.
ଏହି ହିରଣ୍ୟଧାରଣ—ଅଗ୍ନିଠାରୁ ଜନ୍ମିତ ଏହି ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ଯାହା ଅମୃତ ହୋଇ ମର୍ତ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପରିଧି (ବଳୟ) ଭାବେ ଧାରିତ ହୁଏ। ଯେ ଏହାକୁ ଜାଣେ, ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଏହାର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ; ଯେ ଏହାକୁ ଧାରଣ କରେ, ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଜରା ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଦୂରେ ହୋଇଯାଏ (ଅପସାରିତ ହୁଏ)।
