तपश्चैवास्तां कर्म चान्तर्महत्यर्णवे। तपो ह जज्ञे कर्मणस्तत् ते ज्येष्ठमुपासत
tápaś caívāstāṃ kárma caántar maháty árṇave | tápo ha jajñé kármaṇas tát te jyéṣṭham upā́sata |
Austerity and Act were there, within the mighty flood. From Act, in sooth, was Austerity born: that did they wait upon as eldest and as chief.
ମହା ଅର୍ଣ୍ଣବ (ମହାସାଗର/ପ୍ରଳୟଜଳ)ର ଭିତରେ ତପସ୍ ଓ କର୍ମ—ଦୁହେଁ ଥିଲେ। ସତ୍ୟକଥା, କର୍ମରୁ ହିଁ ତପସ୍ ଜନ୍ମିଲା; ସେହିକୁ ସେମାନେ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ଓ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଭାବେ ଉପାସନା କଲେ।
