FAQs

This verse primarily imparts Purāṇic cataloging (nāmāvalī-style enumeration) of Krishna’s queens/consorts; the only devotional instruction implied is that Hari’s consort is “sevyā” (worthy of reverential service).

It functions as a compact reference-list of key Vaishnava figures (Krishna’s principal queens), illustrating the Agni Purana’s encyclopedic habit of preserving names, relationships, and traditional enumerations alongside ritual and doctrinal material.

By marking the divine consort as “sevyā,” the verse reinforces bhakti-oriented reverence toward Hari and his household; honoring such figures is traditionally associated with devotional merit and purification of mind through remembrance (smaraṇa).
