FAQs

It teaches a graha-śānti application: propitiate the planetary deities (grahas) specifically through the Gāyatrī mantra as the operative means to pacify afflictions.

It exemplifies the text’s practical, cross-disciplinary coverage by giving an applied Jyotiṣa-based remedial rite (graha-śānti) integrated with mainstream Vedic mantra practice (Gāyatrī), showing how the Purāṇa functions as a handbook of ritual solutions.

Worship of the grahas with Gāyatrī is presented as a purifier and harmonizer: it gradually neutralizes obstacles and unrest attributed to planetary influences, yielding ordered restoration of peace and auspiciousness.
