FAQs

It gives a Vṛkṣāyurveda-style protocol: using specific grains (kulattha, māṣa, mudga), sesame, and barley along with a mantra and decorative offerings, plus repeated sprinkling with ghee and cooled milk to prevent fruit-loss and promote flowering/fruiting.

Alongside theology, the text preserves applied knowledge for everyday life—here, plant protection and yield-enhancement combining material inputs (dravyas like grains, ghee, milk) with ritual procedure (mantra, adornment), showing the Purana’s practical, multi-disciplinary scope.

The rite links agricultural well-being with auspicious speech and honoring the sacred order (invoking “victory for the Brāhmaṇas”), implying that prosperity in crops is supported by dharmic intent, purity, and devotional/ritual correctness.
