इत्य् आग्नेये महापुराणे दण्डप्रणयनं नाम षड्विंशत्यधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः अथ सप्तविंशत्यधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः युद्धयात्रा पुष्कर उवाच यदा मन्येत नृपतिराक्रन्देन बलीयसा पार्ष्णिग्राहो ऽभिभूतो मे तदा यात्रां प्रयोजयेत्

ity āgneye mahāpurāṇe daṇḍapraṇayanaṃ nāma ṣaḍviṃśatyadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha saptaviṃśatyadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ yuddhayātrā puṣkara uvāca yadā manyeta nṛpatirākrandena balīyasā pārṣṇigrāho 'bhibhūto me tadā yātrāṃ prayojayet

ଏହିପରି ଅଗ୍ନି ମହାପୁରାଣର “ଦଣ୍ଡପ୍ରଣୟନ” ନାମକ ୨୨୬ତମ ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ ସମାପ୍ତ। ଏବେ ୨୨୭ତମ ଅଧ୍ୟାୟ “ଯୁଦ୍ଧଯାତ୍ରା” ଆରମ୍ଭ। ପୁଷ୍କର କହିଲେ—ଯେତେବେଳେ ରାଜା ଭାବେ ଯେ ବଳବାନ ଶତ୍ରୁ ଯୁଦ୍ଧନାଦ ସହିତ ତାକୁ ଚାପି ଦେଉଛି ଏବଂ ପଛଦିଗରୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣକାରୀ ପାର୍ଷ୍ଣିଗ୍ରାହ ତାକୁ ଅଧିକୃତ କରିଛି, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସେନାଯାତ୍ରା କରିବା ଉଚିତ।
