Related Themes: Agni Purana 223 (cūrṇa, guṭikā, mukha-vāsaka recipes)
It gives a practical Ayurvedic compounding rule: prepare a pungent fruit-based powder in karṣa measures and fortify it with one-fourth part khadira-extract, then process/mature it (vāsita) for efficacy.
Beyond myth and worship, the Agni Purana preserves applied sciences like Ayurveda—detailing exact ingredient ratios, classical weights (karṣa), and pharmaceutical processing steps for medicinal preparations.
In Purāṇic framing, healing knowledge is a dharmic aid: preserving health supports daily rites and righteous living, and sharing effective remedies is treated as a meritorious, welfare-promoting act.
