Concept: Speed (tvarā) as divine function: mantra with phaṭ (cutting/dispelling) plus nyāsa embodies rapid removal of obstacles through focused ritual action.
Application: Apply as a concise emergency/quick-response devī-upāsanā: mantra-japa with disciplined nyāsa and clear visualization to ‘cut through’ impediments.
Khanda Section: Mantra-Tantra & Devi-Puja Vidhi (Nānāmantra / Tvaritā-sādhana)

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A ritual transition: text colophon ending one chapter, then Agni teaching Tvaritā’s mantra; a sādhaka performs nyāsa and visualizes Tvaritā on a lion-seat over a lotus, in two-armed and eight-armed variants.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural: Agni as sage-teacher speaking to disciple, Tvaritā appearing above on lotus-lion throne, dynamic aura suggesting swiftness, bold lines and warm palette.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore: Tvaritā enthroned with gold leaf, two-armed form in foreground and eight-armed form as a subtle halo-vision, mantra syllables in decorative border, lamps and arch.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore: instructional split-panel—left shows nyāsa gestures (hṛdādi), right shows Tvaritā two-armed and eight-armed icon options on padma-siṃha, fine detailing.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature: scholarly setting with Agni dictating mantra, scribe and sādhaka, visionary Devi on lion-seat, crisp calligraphy of mantra, intricate textiles."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"instructional","suggested_raga":"Bhairav","pace":"medium","voice_tone":"instructional"}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: ‘इत्य्’ = इति. ‘’अध्यायः’ with avagraha in IAST indicates elision: ‘त्रिशततमो ’ध्यायः’ = त्रिशततमः अध्यायः. ‘त्वरितायैनमः’ resolved as ‘त्वरितायै नमः’. ‘पूजयेन्न्यस्य’ resolved as ‘पूजयेत् न्यस्य’ (orthographic assimilation).
Related Themes: Agni Purana 312 (nānāmantra conclusion); Agni Purana 313–314 (tvaritā-jñāna section continuing with related rites)
It gives the core Tvaritā-mantra (a bīja-string ending with 'tvaritāyai namaḥ') and the practical ritual steps: perform nyāsa, then worship the Goddess with specified visualization layers—ādhāra-śakti, lotus-seat, lion-seat, and hṛdaya-ādi (heart and other nyāsa points).
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s compendium style by moving from a catalog of 'various mantras' into a specialized śākta-tantric micro-ritual (mantra + nyāsa + dhyāna/visualization), showing that the text preserves detailed liturgical technology alongside broader Purāṇic topics.
Mantra-japa combined with nyāsa and correct visualization is framed as a means of śakti-invocation and protective purification—removing obstacles (via phaṭ/hūṃ-type bījas), stabilizing devotion, and generating merit through properly constituted Devi-pūjā.
