FAQs

It gives an Ayurvedic therapeutic instruction for fracture-setting: use medicated oil with priyangu and salt, choosing vāta-pacifying oil, and for pitta conditions use oil processed with licorice.

Beyond theology, the Agni Purana preserves practical medical protocols (bhagna-cikitsā), including formulation logic by doṣa (vāta/pitta) and specific materia medica, showing its wide-ranging, handbook-like scope.

By promoting healing and relief of suffering through dharmic care and right knowledge, the instruction supports compassionate action (dayā) and the merit of protecting life and bodily well-being.
