It specifies the ritual topic (pavitrārohaṇa) and gives a calendrical prescription: the annual worship-season of Hari is Āṣāḍha through Kārtika, with Pratipadā indicated as the appropriate tithi.
It shifts from saṃskāra-doctrine (48 rites) to applied ritual administration—linking temple/household worship procedures with precise lunar-month and tithi-based scheduling, a hallmark of the text’s practical, multi-disciplinary scope.
By prescribing the proper season and tithi for Hari’s annual worship and the pavitra installation, it frames correct timing (kāla) as a purifier and merit-enhancer, ensuring the rite is performed in an auspicious and ritually effective manner.
