Concept: Pervading life-principle (jīva/ādimūrti) as the inner presence across all planes; multiplicity of lokas as expressions within a single pervasive reality.

Application: Meditate on pervasion (vyāpti): wherever attention goes—body, breath, world—recognize the same life-principle; use loka-visualization to refine attention from gross to subtle.

Khanda Section: Cosmology (Loka-Vyavastha / Saptaloka-Nirupana)

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: Cosmic-Region

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A vertical cosmic pillar showing seven stacked realms labeled Bhūḥ, Bhuvaḥ, Svaḥ, Mahaḥ, Janaḥ, Tapaḥ, Satya, with a luminous pervasive presence threading through all levels.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural, tall mandala-pillar with seven horizontal bands, each band with symbolic motifs (earth, atmosphere, heavens, sages), Sanskrit labels, a golden thread of jīva-pervasion running through","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore, ornate seven-tier cosmology tower with gold leaf outlines, jeweled borders, central radiant ādimūrti light permeating all tiers, rich reds and blues","mysore_prompt":"Mysore, didactic chart-like painting: seven lokas stacked with clean labels and small icon vignettes, soft palette, precise linework, emphasis on clarity","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, cosmological diagram on a folio held by a court scholar, seven registers with delicate landscapes, fine calligraphy naming each loka, subtle luminous wash indicating pervasion"}

FAQs

It teaches the cosmological mapping of existence into seven higher planes (saptaloka) and links them to the all-pervading life-principle (jīva), a key framework used in Purāṇic ritual recitation and contemplative visualization.

By cataloging the sevenfold cosmic structure (Bhū to Satya) and defining the pervasive principle behind it, the text functions as a compact reference for Purāṇic cosmology alongside its many other disciplines.

Contemplating the all-pervading primordial principle as present across all lokas supports a non-fragmented vision of reality, fostering inner purification and steadiness of mind aligned with higher realms (especially Tapas and Satya).
