परिपृच्छसि शोकार्तं परिखिन्नं तपोन्वितम् स प्राह राजास्मि विभो तपस्विन् शाकले पुरे

Transliteration

paripṛcchasi śokārtaṃ parikhinnaṃ taponvitam sa prāha rājāsmi vibho tapasvin śākale pure

Translation

«သင်သည် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းကြောင့် နာကျင်၍ ပင်ပန်းသော်လည်း တပဿပါရမီရှိသူကို မေးမြန်းနေသည်» ဟုဆို၏။ ထိုသူက ပြောသည်– «အို အရှင်တပသီ၊ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် ရှာကလ မြို့၌ နေသော ဘုရင်ဖြစ်သည်»။
