दिनमाना निशा ज्ञेया अहोरात्रं द्वयाद्भवेत् । तैः पंचदशभिः पक्षो द्विपक्षो मास उच्यते
dinamānā niśā jñeyā ahorātraṃ dvayādbhavet | taiḥ paṃcadaśabhiḥ pakṣo dvipakṣo māsa ucyate
ညကို နေ့နှင့် အတိုင်းအတာတူဟု သိရမည်။ ထိုနှစ်ခု ပေါင်းစည်းရာမှ «အဟောရာတြ» (နေ့ည) ဖြစ်ပေါ်သည်။ ထိုနေ့ ၁၅ ရက်ဖြင့် «ပက္ခ» (လဝက်) ဖြစ်၍၊ ပက္ခ နှစ်ခုကို «လ» ဟု ခေါ်သည်။
