Devī (Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: An ascetic stands on one foot within a ring of flames, body steady, eyes focused; above, a divine presence (Sura-īśvara) bestows approval; the scene balances intensity (fire) with inner calm.
Steadfast austerity and sincere worship culminate in divine approval; discipline (tapas) is validated when it ripens into grace.
The verse sits within Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya; the tapas is recalled as part of the narrative leading into Prabhāsa’s greatness.
An austerity model is described (eka-pāda-sthāna, fire-encircled tapas), but it is not framed as a general prescription for all.
