Narrator (Purāṇic voice within Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Somnātha at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Scene: Devotees and ascetics cluster around the liṅga: some offer flowers and water, others fold hands in praṇāma; lines of pilgrims move in pradakṣiṇā; a few lie in full sāṣṭāṅga prostration on the stone floor.
Embodied devotion—worship, circumambulation, and prostration—anchors humility and surrender before Śiva in a sacred place.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where Liṅga-worship and devotional bodily rites are actively practiced.
Liṅga-pūjā, praṇāma (salutation), pradakṣiṇā (circumambulation), and sāṣṭāṅga-praṇāma (full prostration).
