देव्युवाच । परितुष्टास्मि वो वत्साः किमर्थं तप्यते तपः । वरयध्वं वरं मत्तो यः स्थितो भवतां हृदि
devyuvāca | parituṣṭāsmi vo vatsāḥ kimarthaṃ tapyate tapaḥ | varayadhvaṃ varaṃ matto yaḥ sthito bhavatāṃ hṛdi
နတ်မိခင်က မိန့်တော်မူသည်။ «ချစ်လှစွာသော သားသမီးတို့၊ သင်တို့အပေါ် ငါနှစ်သက်ပျော်ရွှင်၏။ ဤတပဿာကို မည်သို့သော ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ဖြင့် ပြုလုပ်သနည်း။ သင်တို့၏ နှလုံး၌ တည်နေသော ဆန္ဒအတိုင်း ငါထံမှ အလိုရှိရာ ကောင်းချီးကို ရွေးယူကြလော့»။
