Pulastya (contextual)
Tirtha: Māmuhrada (by immediate context)
Type: kund
Listener: King (mahīpati)
Scene: A herald-like sage points toward the shining waters of the tīrtha, while pilgrims prepare for bathing with water pots and clean cloth; the mountain and shrine stand as witnesses to the injunction.
When a tīrtha is declared supreme, the proper response is earnest practice—pilgrimage becomes a disciplined spiritual act, not mere travel.
The same celebrated tīrtha in this passage—Māmuhrada/Mudgaleśvara’s associated sacred bathing place.
Snāna (ritual bath) is explicitly enjoined, to be done with full effort and sincerity.
