evaṃ sa niścayaṃ kṛtvā gato'rbudamathācalam | bhūme vivaramāsādya tapastepe sudāruṇam

ထိုသို့ ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ချပြီးနောက် သူသည် အာဗုဒတောင်သို့ သွား하였다။ မြေပြင်အတွင်း အပေါက်ကွဲတစ်ခုကို ရောက်လျှင် အလွန်ကြမ်းတမ်းသော တပသ (austerities) ကို ကျင့်하였다။
