आत्मानं पातके विष्टं शुभाह्व चिरकारिक । एवं स दुःखितः प्राप्तो गौतमोऽचिंतयत्तदा
ātmānaṃ pātake viṣṭaṃ śubhāhva cirakārika | evaṃ sa duḥkhitaḥ prāpto gautamo'ciṃtayattadā
«ငါ့ကိုယ်ငါ အပြစ်ထဲတွင် နစ်မြုပ်နေသည်ကို မြင်ရ၏၊ မင်္ဂလာနာမရှိသော စိရကာရိကာရေ!» ဟုဆိုကာ၊ ဝမ်းနည်းပူဆွေးစွာ ရောက်လာသော ဂေါတမသည် ထိုအခါ စဉ်းစားတော်မူ၏
