ब्रह्मोवाच । नाहं वेद्मि श्रेष्ठतां वः कथंचन नमोऽस्तु वः । सर्वे चापारमाहात्म्यं स्वयं मे वक्तुमर्हथ
brahmovāca | nāhaṃ vedmi śreṣṭhatāṃ vaḥ kathaṃcana namo'stu vaḥ | sarve cāpāramāhātmyaṃ svayaṃ me vaktumarhatha
ဘြဟ္မာက ပြောသည်။ “သင်တို့၏ အမြတ်ဆုံးကို မည်သို့မျှ မသိပါ—သင်တို့အားလုံးကို နမောတော်မူပါ၏။ သင်တို့တစ်ဦးချင်းစီတွင် အဆုံးမရှိသော မဟာမဟိမ (mahātmya) ရှိသဖြင့်၊ ကိုယ်တိုင်ပင် မိမိတို့၏ အနန္တမဟိမကို ငါ့အား ပြောကြလော့” ဟု မိန့်၏။
