ततः सुतनुनामा स बालोऽबालोऽभ्युवाच माम् । मम मंदायते वाणी प्रश्नैः स्वल्पैस्तव द्विज । तथापि वच्मि मां यस्मान्निहीनं मन्यते भवान्
tataḥ sutanunāmā sa bālo'bālo'bhyuvāca mām | mama maṃdāyate vāṇī praśnaiḥ svalpaistava dvija | tathāpi vacmi māṃ yasmānnihīnaṃ manyate bhavān
ထို့နောက် “သုတနု” ဟူသော ကလေးသည် ငါ့အား ပြော하였다—အသက်ငယ်သော်လည်း ကလေးမိုက်မဟုတ်။ “အို ဗြာဟ္မဏ၊ သင်၏ မေးခွန်းငယ်ငယ်တို့ကြောင့် ငါ့စကား ရှုပ်ထွေး၍ တုန့်ဆိုင်းသည်။ သို့သော်လည်း သင်က ငါ့ကို ချို့တဲ့သည်ဟု ထင်သောကြောင့် ငါ ပြောမည်” ဟု ဆို၏။
