संवर्त उवाच । अहमप्येवमेवास्य कर्ता तेन स्वयं कृतम् । तद्ब्रूत कार्यं नैवात्र चिरं स्थास्यामि वः कृते
saṃvarta uvāca | ahamapyevamevāsya kartā tena svayaṃ kṛtam | tadbrūta kāryaṃ naivātra ciraṃ sthāsyāmi vaḥ kṛte
သံဝတ္တက ပြောသည်– «ငါလည်း ‘ဤအမှုကို ငါပင် ပြုသူ’ ဟု ထင်ခဲ့၏၊ သို့သော် အမှုသည် သူ့ကိုယ်တိုင်က ပြုခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် လုပ်ဆောင်ရမည့်အရာကို ပြောကြလော့; သင်တို့အတွက်ပင် ဖြစ်စေ ငါသည် ဤနေရာ၌ ကြာကြာ မနေနိုင်»။
