पञ्चाक्षर-षडक्षरमन्त्र-माहात्म्यम् | The Greatness of the Pañcākṣara/Ṣaḍakṣara Mantra
अभिधानाभिधेयत्वान्मंत्रस्सिद्धः परश्शिवः । एतावत्तु शिवज्ञानमेतावत्परमं पदम्
abhidhānābhidheyatvānmaṃtrassiddhaḥ paraśśivaḥ | etāvattu śivajñānametāvatparamaṃ padam
နာမနှင့် နာမခံ (အဘိဓာန-အဘိဓေယ) တို့ မခွဲမခွာ ဆက်နွယ်သကဲ့သို့ မန်တရနှင့် အဓိပ္ပါယ်လည်း မခွဲမခွာဖြစ်သဖြင့် မန်တရကိုယ်တိုင်ပင် စိဒ္ဓဖြစ်သော ပရမသီဝ ဖြစ်သည်။ ဤမျှသာ သီဝကို သိမြင်ခြင်းဖြစ်၍ ဤမျှသာ အမြင့်ဆုံး ပဒ (အထွတ်အထိပ်အနေအထား) ဖြစ်သည်။

It teaches that Shiva is directly realizable through mantra: when the practitioner grasps both the sound (name) and its true referent (Shiva), mantra-japa becomes Shiva-jnana and culminates in the supreme state (moksha).
Just as the Linga is a focused support for worship, the mantra is a sonic support: name and named are linked, so devotion to the mantra leads from saguna upasana (worship with support) toward realization of Paraśiva as the ultimate reality.
Steady mantra-japa with contemplation of its meaning—especially the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—so that repetition is joined to understanding and inner absorption, making the mantra ‘siddha’ in one’s practice.
