Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pashu
Role: teaching
The verse highlights a key Shaiva theme: when the mind is struck by truth or an unexpected instruction, it should move from mere emotion (wonder) to su-vicāra—discernment—opening the way for right understanding and devotion toward Śiva (Pati).
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the narrative mood supports Saguna-Śiva devotion: teachings and encounters within Śiva’s sacred history often begin with surprise and culminate in thoughtful acceptance that matures into worship and surrender.
The implied practice is contemplative inquiry (manana): pause, reflect, and align one’s intention before action—ideally paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") to steady the mind during decision and transformation.
