It highlights viraha-bhakti—love intensified through separation—where Parvati’s longing becomes disciplined by dhṛti (steadfastness), a key Shaiva virtue that ripens devotion into grace-oriented surrender to Shiva (Pati).
Parvati’s love-driven resolve points to Saguna upāsanā: when the heart is restless in separation, devotees stabilize the mind by turning to Shiva’s accessible forms—especially the Śiva-liṅga—using remembrance, pūjā, and mantra to hold dhṛti.
The practical takeaway is cultivating dhṛti through japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and steady daily worship (with bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa where appropriate) to transform longing into focused devotion.
