Sūta Gosvāmi (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhikṣāṭana
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It shows the Shaiva principle that sincere tapas and unwavering resolve draw the compassionate attention (anugraha) of Pati, who responds when devotion becomes mature and selfless.
Śiva appears in a concrete, approachable guise (saguṇa-līlā) to guide and test the devotee; similarly, Linga worship trains the mind to meet the formless Absolute through a sacred, perceivable form.
Steadfast vrata with japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—combined with disciplined tapas (purity, restraint, focused worship) is implied as the practical path of devotion.
