सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
स प्राकारमवप्लुत्य पश्यामि बहुपादपम्।अशोकवनिकामध्ये शिंशुपापादपो महान्।।।।तमारुह्य च पश्यामि काञ्चनं कदलीवनम्।
sa prākāram avaplutya paśyāmi bahu-pādapam |
aśoka-vanikā-madhye śiṃśupā-pādapo mahān ||
tam āruhya ca paśyāmi kāñcanaṃ kadalī-vanam |
ထိုတံတိုင်းကို ကျော်လွှားပြီးနောက် သစ်ပင်အမျိုးမျိုး ပေါများစွာရှိသော ဥယျာဉ်တောကို ငါမြင်ရသည်။ အရှိုကဥယျာဉ်အလယ်၌ ရှင်ရှုပာ သစ်ပင်ကြီး တည်ရှိနေ၍၊ ထိုသစ်ပင်ပေါ်သို့ တက်ကာ ကြည့်သော် ရွှေရောင်တောက်ပသကဲ့သို့သော ငှက်ပျောပင်တောကို မြင်ရသည်။
