Bharata at Bharadvāja’s Hermitage
एवमुक्तो भरद्वाजं भरतः प्रत्युवाच ह।पर्यश्रुनयनो दुःखाद्वाचा संसज्जमानया।।2.90.14।।
evam ukto bharadvājaṃ bharataḥ pratyuvāca ha |
paryaśru-nayano duḥkhād vācā saṃsajjamānayā || 2.90.14 ||
ဤသို့ မိန့်ကြားခံရသော် ဘရတသည် ရှင်ဘရဒ္ဝာဇအား ပြန်လည်လျှောက်တင်၏။ ဝမ်းနည်းကြောင့် မျက်ရည်ပြည့်နှက်၍ စကားသံလည်း ပြောရာတွင် တုန်ယင်ရပ်တန့်နေ၏။
When one so venerable like you too misunderstands me, I am gone. There is no danger for him from me. Do not rebuke me this way.
Dharma is tied to sincerity: Bharata’s grief-stricken response signals an inner commitment to truth and righteousness rather than opportunism.
After Bharadvāja’s probing suspicion, Bharata begins his reply, emotionally shaken.
