पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च
Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī
आनयेङ्गुदिपिण्याकं चीरमाहर चोत्तरम्।जलक्रियार्थं तातस्य गमिष्यामि महात्मनः।।।।
ānaya iṅgudi-piṇyākaṃ cīram āhara cottaram |
jalakriyārthaṃ tātasya gamiṣyāmi mahātmanaḥ ||
“အင်္ဂုဒီသီး၏ ခြောက်သွေ့သော အနှစ် (ဆီကိတ်) ကို ယူလာပါ၊ ထို့ပြင် သစ်ခွံဖြင့်လုပ်သော အပေါ်ဝတ် (ချီရ) ကိုလည်း ယူလာပါ။ ငါသည် မဟာတမဖြစ်သော အဖေကြီးအတွက် ရေဖြင့်ပြုသော ကရိယာ—တർပဏ (ရေသက်သက်ကန်တော့) ပူဇော်ပွဲ—ကို သွားပြုမည်။”
I shall go and offer libations to my magnanimous father. Go and fetch the dried pulp of ingudi fruit and an upper garment made of bark.
Dharma as immediate ritual responsibility: despite exile and hardship, Rama prioritizes the proper rites for his father, showing that duty is not suspended by personal misfortune.
Rama directs Lakshmana to gather simple forest-available materials so Rama can perform water-libations for Dasharatha.
