Maricha’s Mimic Cry and the Rama–Lakshmana–Sita Confrontation
दृष्ट्वैवाभ्यागतं त्वां मे मैथिलीं त्यज्य लक्ष्मण।शङ्कमानं महत्पापं यत्सत्यं व्यथितं मनः।।।।
dṛṣṭvaivābhyāgataṃ tvāṃ me maithilīṃ tyajya lakṣmaṇa |
śaṅkamānaṃ mahat pāpaṃ yat satyaṃ vyathitaṃ manaḥ ||
သင် ပြန်လာတာကို မြင်လိုက်ချင်းပဲ၊ လက္ခမဏာရေ၊ မိုင်သီလီကို ထားခဲ့ပြီးလာသည်ကို မြင်သဖြင့် ငါ့စိတ် တုန်လှုပ်သွားတယ်။ ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ် သံသယက အမှန်ဖြစ်သွားပြီး ငါ့နှလုံးသား နာကျင်ရတယ်။

Dharma here centers on responsibility and vigilance: leaving Sītā unprotected violates the duty of guardianship, and Rama’s fear reflects the moral weight of that lapse.
Lakṣmaṇa returns to Rama without Sītā; Rama immediately suspects danger and feels his ominous doubts have come true.
Rama’s truth-oriented discernment (satya-buddhi) and protective concern for Sītā are highlighted, even amid distress.
