Narada (teaching in phala-śruti style within Uttara-Bhaga narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes phala-śruti (result-declaration): extraordinary spiritual merit is promised even for the extreme act of relinquishing life in a dharmic context, highlighting the Purana’s stress on intention, sacrifice, and sacred duty.
Though Bhakti is not named here, the verse uses the Purāṇic logic of offering one’s very prāṇa for a sacred cause—an ideal aligned with supreme dedication (śaraṇāgati-like surrender) that later Bhakti teaching frames as total self-offering.
The verse reflects Purāṇic phala-śruti convention and dharma-śāstra style quantification of merit in years; it is not a technical Vedāṅga passage (e.g., Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa), but uses standard ritual-literary measurement of puṇya.
