Sanatkumāra (in dialogue instruction to Nārada; Ekādaśī/Harivāsara discipline context)
Vrata: Ekadashi (Harivāsara discipline)
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhakti","emotional_journey":"A devotional observance (Harivāsara discipline) is framed with severe royal enforcement, moving from piety to threat of punishment."}
It underscores Harivāsara (commonly Ekādaśī) as a sanctified time dedicated to Hari, where restraint—especially from eating—is treated as a serious dharmic obligation rather than a casual choice.
Bhakti here is expressed through vrata-niyama (devotional discipline): honoring Hari’s day by fasting or abstaining from food becomes a concrete act of devotion and reverence toward Vishnu.
It reflects ritual-calendar discipline (connected with Jyotiṣa/kalā—timing of sacred days like Ekādaśī/Harivāsara) and dharma-śāstra style enforcement of vows, emphasizing correct observance of sacred time.
