मार्कण्डेय उवाच इत्युक्ता सा तदा पित्रा तथेत्युक्त्वा च सा मुने ।
संपूजयित्वा पितरं जगामाथोत्तरान् कुरून् ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ityuktā sā tadā pitrā tathetyuktvā ca sā mune / saṃpūjayitvā pitaraṃ jagāmāthottarān kurūn
မာရ္ကဏ္ဍေယက ပြောသည်—«ဖခင်က ထိုသို့ မိန့်ကြားသဖြင့် သူမက ‘အဲဒီအတိုင်းပါ’ ဟု ပြန်လည်ဆို၏၊ အို ရှင်မြတ်။ ဖခင်ကို သင့်တော်စွာ ဂုဏ်ပြုပြီးနောက် သူမသည် မြောက်ဘက် ကုရုများ (ဥတ္တရ-ကုရု) ထံသို့ သွားလေ၏»။
