कृत्रिमं च तथा दुर्गं मित्वा मित्वात्मनोऽङ्गुलैः ।
मानार्थानि प्रमाणानि तास् तु पूर्वं प्रचक्रिरे ॥
kṛtrimaṃ ca tathā durgaṃ mitvā mitvātmano 'ṅgulaiḥ | mānārthāni pramāṇāni tās tu pūrvaṃ pracakrire ||
ထို့အတူ သူတို့သည် မိမိတို့၏ လက်ချောင်းများဖြင့် တိုင်းတာကာ အတုလုပ်ခံတပ်များ၏ အတိုင်းအတာကို သတ်မှတ်하였다။ ထို့ကြောင့် ပမာဏတွက်ချက်ရန်အတွက် တိုင်းတာစံနှုန်းများ (ပရမာဏ) ကို ပထမဦးစွာ တီထွင်တည်ထောင်하였다။
