Sattva is associated with clarity, joy, and fewer inner obstructions; hence it supports higher knowledge and harmonious action. The verse encodes a value-structure: cultivating sattva aligns one with ‘upward’ movement.
Sarga: delineation of the deva-class as a distinct emanation with sattva predominance.
‘Upward-flowing’ indicates a consciousness naturally oriented to transcendence and luminosity—less covered by āvaraṇa, more transparent to the inner light.
