Adhyaya 29 — Alarka’s Inquiry and Madalasa’s Teaching on Householder Dharma (Gārhasthya), Vaiśvadeva, and Atithi Hospitality
सीदता यद् कृतं तेन तत् पापं स समश्नुते । सायं चैव विधिः कार्यः सूर्यॊढं तत्र चातिथिम् ॥
sīdatā yad kṛtaṃ tena tat pāpaṃ sa samaśnute | sāyaṃ caiva vidhiḥ kāryaḥ sūryoḍhaṃ tatra cātithim ||
ဒုက္ခရောက်နေသူတစ်ဦးအပေါ် ပြုလုပ်သည့် မတရားမှုမည်သည့်အရာမဆို—လျစ်လျူရှုသူသည် ထိုအပြစ်ကို မျှဝေခံစားရသည်။ ထို့ပြင် ညနေခင်းတွင် သင့်လျော်သော ရိတိကို ဆောင်ရွက်ရမည်၊ နေဝင်ချိန်ရောက်လာသော ဧည့်သည်ကိုလည်း စောင့်ရှောက်ရမည်။

Neglect of the vulnerable is not neutral; it generates culpability. Hospitality is time-sensitive in dharma literature—an atithi arriving at day’s end must be received rather than deferred.
