उद्योगपर्व अध्याय १३३ — संजये मातृउपदेशः
Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
अस्मदीयैश्व शोचद्धिर्नदद्धिश्न परैर्वृतम् अपि त्वां नानुपश्येयं दीनादू दीनमिव स्थितम्
asmadīyaiś ca śocadbhir nadadbhis tu parair vṛtam | api tvāṃ nānupaśyeyaṃ dīnā dū dīnam iva sthitam ||
သားက ပြောသည်— «ကျွန်ုပ်သည် မင်းကြီးကို သနားဖွယ်အခြေအနေထဲသို့ လဲကျနေပြီး၊ ဆင်းရဲသူထက်တောင် ပို၍ ဆင်းရဲသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်နေသည်ကို မမြင်လိုပါ။ တစ်ဖက်တွင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ဘက်သားများ ဝမ်းနည်းပူဆွေး၍ ဝိုင်းရံနေကြပြီး၊ အခြားဖက်တွင် ရန်သူတပ်များ ဟိန်းဟောက်အော်ဟစ်၍ ဝိုင်းရံနေသည်ကို မမြင်လိုပါ။ အတွင်း၌ ငိုကြွေးသံများ၊ အပြင်၌ ရန်သူ၏ ဆူညံဟိန်းဟောက်သံများကြား မင်းကြီးကို ထိုသို့ ပိတ်မိနေသည်ကို ကြည့်ရသည် မခံနိုင်ပါ»။
