ऑपनआक्राता बछ। अर: त्रयोदशो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णका धृतराष्ट्रको फटकारकर उनका क्रोध शान्त करना और धृतराष्ट्रका पाण्डवोंको हृदयसे लगाना वैशम्पायन उवाच तत एनमुपातिष्ठन्‌ शौचार्थ परिचारका: । कृतशौचं पुनश्चैनं प्रोवाच मधुसूदन:

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tata enam upātiṣṭhan śaucārtha-paricārakāḥ | kṛta-śaucaṃ punaś cainaṃ provāca Madhusūdanaḥ ||

ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပါယနက ပြောသည်– ထို့နောက် သန့်စင်ရေးအတွက် ခန့်အပ်ထားသော အမှုထမ်းများသည် သူ့ထံသို့ လာရောက်ကာ စောင့်ရှောက်ပြုစုကြသည်။ သန့်စင်ရေး အခမ်းအနားများ ပြီးဆုံးသွားသောအခါ မဓုသူဒန (သီရိကృష్ణ) သည် ထပ်မံ၍ မိန့်ကြားလေ၏—ဝမ်းနည်းကြေကွဲနေသော မင်း၏ ဒေါသကို ထိန်းချုပ်ကာ ဓမ္မနှင့် လူသားသဘောသို့ ပြန်လည်ညွှန်ပြလို၍ ဖြစ်သည်။
