Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
प्रवृद्धानां च वृक्षाणां शाखां प्रच्छेदयेत् तथा । चैत्यानां सर्वथा त्याज्यमपि पत्रस्य पातनम्
pravṛddhānāṃ ca vṛkṣāṇāṃ śākhāṃ pracchedayet tathā | caityānāṃ sarvathā tyājyam api patrasya pātanam ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်တော်မူသည်— «သစ်ပင်များ အလွန်ကြီးထွား၍ အကိုင်းအခက်များ ကျယ်ပြန့်သွားလျှင် လိုအပ်သလို အကိုင်းများကို ဖြတ်တောက်စေရာ၏။ သို့သော် စေတီယ (caitya) နှင့် ဆက်နွယ်သော သစ်ပင်များကို အစဉ်အမြဲ အပြည့်အဝ ကာကွယ်ရမည်—ရွက်တစ်ရွက်တောင် ကျမသွားစေရ»။
