भीष्म उवाच सर्वत्र विहितो धर्म: स्वर्ग: सत्यफलं महत्‌ | बहुद्वारस्य धर्मस्य नेहास्ति विफला क्रिया

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca sarvatra vihito dharmaḥ svargaḥ satyaphalaṃ mahat | bahudvārasya dharmasya nehāsti viphalā kriyā ||

Translation

ဘိဿမက ပြောသည်—“အို မင်းကြီး၊ ဓမ္မသည် အရာရာ၌ (အာရှရမ အဆင့်တိုင်း၌) ချမှတ်ထားသည်။ ၎င်းသည် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံသို့ ပို့ဆောင်သကဲ့သို့၊ သစ္စာ၏ မဟာအကျိုး—လွတ်မြောက်ခြင်း (မောက္ခ) ကိုလည်း ပေးသည်။ ဓမ္မတွင် ယဇ်ပူဇော်ခြင်း၊ ဒါန၊ တပ (အာစီတပ) စသည့် တံခါးပေါက်များ များစွာရှိသဖြင့်၊ ဤလောက၌ ဓမ္မနှင့်ညီသော အလုပ်တစ်ခုမျှ အကျိုးမဲ့မဖြစ်နိုင်။”
