न लोके दीप्यते मूर्ख: केवलात्मप्रशंसया । अपि चापिहित: श्वश्रे कृतविद्य: प्रकाशते
na loke dīpyate mūrkhaḥ kevalātmapraśaṃsayā | api cāpihitaḥ śvaśre kṛtavidyaḥ prakāśate ||
နာရဒ မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ဤလောက၌ မိုက်မဲသူသည် ကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကို ချီးမွမ်းခြင်းသာဖြင့် အမှန်တကယ် မတောက်ပနိုင်။ သို့ရာတွင် အမှန်တကယ် ပညာနှင့် ကျွမ်းကျင်မှု ရရှိထားသူသည် မိမိတန်ဖိုးကြောင့်ပင် ထင်ရှားလာသည်—ယောက္ခမက ဖုံးကွယ်ထားသကဲ့သို့ ဖုံးအုပ်ထားလျှင်တောင်»။
