एवमादीनि चान्यानि परित्यक्तानि मेधया । ज्वलन्ति यशसा लोके यानि न व्याहरन्ति च
evam-ādīni cānyāni parityaktāni medhayā | jvalanti yaśasā loke yāni na vyāharanti ca ||
နာရဒ မုနိက ပြောသည်– ထိုနည်းတူပင် ဉာဏ်ပညာရှိသူတို့က သတိပြုထားသည့် အရာများ အများအပြားရှိသည်။ ၎င်းတို့သည် မိမိကိုယ်ကို မကြေညာကြသော်လည်း လောက၌ မိမိတို့၏ ဂုဏ်သတင်းဖြင့်ပင် တောက်ပနေကြသည်။
नारद उवाच
True worth does not need self-advertisement. Qualities recognized by wise discernment may remain silent, yet they naturally become known through their effects—shining as reputation grounded in virtue rather than in self-praise.
Nārada continues a didactic reflection in the Śānti Parva, pointing to a general principle: many valuable qualities or exemplary cases do not speak about themselves, but are nevertheless acknowledged in society through the radiance of their earned renown.
